Twice during the year, once on Yom Kippur and once on Pesach, we proclaim "Next Year in Jerusalem". Now more than ever, this declaration calls on us to renew our support for the State of Israel. This past week, I had the privilege of the attending the AIPAC Policy Conference with 7800 delegates from around the world including a representation from Agudath Sholom. I was particularly moved by the overwhelming expression of solidarity from people of many faiths and backgrounds. However, as we know, the challenge to insure the centrality of Jerusalem and a vibrant, strong and secure Israel is immense. Passover signifies a time for us to reflect on our role in serving as actors and not spectators in the evolving narrative of Jewish history. Please visit http://www.aipac.org/PC2010/videos.asp to see the highlights of the conference and consider signing up at a special rate for next year's policy conference at www.aipac.org. Please join me in shul tomorrow morning as I speak on the topic of "Next Year in Jerusalem: An AIPAC Reflection." In preparation for Pesach, you are invited to a Shabbat Hagadol Drasha at 5:45 PM.
